Boulder?s business leaders on Wednesday said that the city?s ?entrepreneurial density? can be a boon for area industry sectors, but cautioned that a number of factors ? competition, economic and political ? could hinder both the entrepreneurial cachet and future growth.
The economics of innovation served as the backdrop for the 2011 Boulder Economic Summit, which took place Wednesday at the University of Colorado. About 300 people attended the event that was hosted by the Boulder Economic Council and designed to explore the entrepreneurial environment across a variety of sectors in Boulder and the challenges and opportunities that also exist.
?(Innovation) is one of the most distinctive attributes of our business environment,? said Clif Harald, executive director of the Boulder Economic Council.
