Top billiard managers unite under ABP | U.S. News Las Vegas

Three of the Philippines? top billiard managers have joined forces with the Association of Billiards Professionals (ABP).

They are Aristeo Puyat of Puyat Sports, Jonathan Sy of Negros Billiards Stable, and Ceferino ?Perry? Mariano of Bugsy Promotions.

The stars of these marquee qroups include four world champions: Hall of Famer Efren ?Bata? Reyes, Hall of Famer Francisco ?Django? Bustamante, Dennis Orcollo and Alex Pagulayan.

Other top stars in their stable include Lee Van Corteza, Warren Kiamco, Jundel Mazon, Antonio Lining, Roberto Gomez and Carlo Biado.

?ABP will surely be a welcome organization to all professional pool players worldwide,? said Mariano, who manages Orcollo, Biado and Gomez.

?If only the players will realize that they are the sport and standing together, there?s nothing they can?t accomplish. I hope the ABP will serve the purpose of the sport and the players,? added Mariano.

?These are exciting guys and we have some awesome guys involved,? said Rodney Morris, a member of the Board of Directors of the ABP.

?I love nothing more than to pave the way for the young guys coming up. It will be good to look back on our careers and say we did something meaningful.?

Charlie Williams, ABP?s founder, released a press statement welcoming the pool stars of the Philippines.

?The ABP is thrilled to have an international representation to help in the initiative to improve the sport of billiards in conjunction with promoters, sponsors and associations,? he said.

?The ABP is an organization of professional pool players that can have a powerful voice in helping changes for the better.?
